On the occasion of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, on behalf of the Embassy of Peru and the Peruvian community in China, I would like to express my warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Chinese friends. I hope the New Year will bring health, happiness and success.

拥有丰富的历史文化遗产的中国与秘鲁在2014年确定了双方在商业推动等方面合作的意向。中国与秘鲁双边关系达到新的高峰，这不仅仅体现在政治和经济领域，更是体现在两国人民之间的了解之中。2014年，秘鲁总统奥利安塔·乌马拉访问中国参加APEC领导峰会，在同中华人民共和国主席习近平的会见中，双方签署了众多推进两国全面战略合作伙伴关系的条约。
In the year 2014 the relationship between China and Peru, both countries with ancient history and a rich culture, have confirmed their commitment to promote business and prosperity. China and Peru have reached the highest level of relationship not only in the political and economic fields, but mainly in the mutual knowledge and understanding among the people. During the 2014 the President of Peru, Ollanta Humala Tasso visited China to attend the APEC Leaders’ Summit in Beijing and a number of agreements related to Peru-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership where signed during the bilateral meeting with the President of the P.R. of China, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping.

其中最重要的意向就是即将开展两洋铁路合作，这将巴西境内的大西洋沿岸同秘鲁境内的太平洋沿岸连接，直至中国。这将是21世纪新的通往拉美的丝绸之路。秘鲁政府将会致力于这个项目，这将是中国对拉美最重要的贡献。
The most important one is the development of the Trans-Amazonian Railway that will link the Atlantic coast in Brazil with the Pacific coast in Peru and then China. It will represent the21st Century Silk Road toward Latin America. The Government of Peru is fully committed with this project, the most important contribution of China for the development of infrastructure in Latin America.
