斯里兰卡独立七十周年的庆祝活动将于二零一八年二月四日（星期日）在北京的斯里兰卡大使馆举行。届时斯里兰卡在华人员将出席上述活动。
The 70th Anniversary of the Independence of Sri Lanka will be celebrated at the premises of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing on Sunday 04th February 2018 with the participation of Sri Lankan community in China.

经过近一百五十年被英国统治, 斯里兰卡在一九四八年获得独立。在独立日的庆典上我们都要缅怀在斯里兰卡历史上为之而奋斗的同胞们。斯里兰卡自一五零五年被葡萄牙人统治并于一六五八年又开始被荷兰殖民统治直至一七九六年。其后被英国占领并建立起在该地区的统治。针对英国的斗争持续展开，其中就包括一八一八年和一八四八年的大反抗，最终未能成功。达摩波罗运动成为非暴力的新的政治斗争形势来寻求独立。最终在森纳那亚克的领导下通过开展和平政治斗争独立运动，于一九四八年二月四日斯里兰卡重新获得了独立。
After nearly 150 years of British rule, Sri Lanka became an independent country in 1948. Many national struggles were made in history of Sri Lanka and all of these are remembered and celebrated in the Independence Day. Sri Lanka was mainly dominated by Portuguese in 1505 and then in 1658 they were replaced by Dutch and their colonial era ended in 1796 when the British occupied the country seeking to establish their power in the region. Several rebellions occurred including the main rebels of 1818 and 1848 against the British but they were not successful. The movement of Anagarika Dharmapala, became the new face of a political struggle to gain independence, non-violently. Finally on February 4, 1948 Sri Lanka regained its independence under the leadership of Right Honorable D.S. Senanayake who launched a peaceful political struggle through the Independence Movement.

全国都将举行独立日庆祝活动。首先是升国旗的仪式。遵循惯例，斯里兰卡驻华大使科迪图瓦库阁下将首先升起国旗。其后唱国歌、点燃传统油灯及按照斯里兰卡传统由多种宗教来进行祈福仪式。使馆官员将宣读西里塞纳总统、维克勒马辛哈总理及外交部长马拉帕纳的独立日贺词。活动结束前将由斯里兰卡驻华大使致辞。
The Independence Day is celebrated ceremonially all over the country commencing with hoisting of the National Flag. Following the same practice, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing will begin the ceremony with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Karunasena Kodituwakku, H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China. Thereafter, singing of the National Anthem, lighting of the traditional lamp and the multi religious observances to bless the occasion and the country will be taken place respectively following the Sri Lankan tradition. The National Day message of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena, Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Hon. Tilak Marapana, Minister of the Foreign Affairs will be read by the Embassy officials. After the address of H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in China, the official ceremony will be concluded.
